Studios with Mezzanine Rua da Moeda is a set of 7 self-catering studios located in Lisbon, 250 m from central public transport hub Cais do Sodré and the Tagus River. Cais do Sodré is a short walk away and is one the city's premier nightlife hotspots.
Set in a traditional late 18th century building, with Portuguese tiles in its stairway, these air-conditioned studios have a bed on a mezzanine. The living area comes with sofa-bed for 1 or 2 persons and flat screen TV with either cable TV or satellite TV. Each studio has a bathroom with a shower, and there is also a fully equipped kitchen in each unit.
Guests may cook their own meals at the accommodation. The popular Time Out Market is just across the street and features an assortment of food and drink options, with some kiosks from renowned chefs. Alternatively, local restaurants are available just outside the building and through a short walk.
The property is 300 m from Bairro Alto and 500 m from historical Chiado. Lisbon’s International Airport is located 8.3 km away from the units.

Please note that the Studios are not recommended for small children or guests with limited mobility because of their high mezzanines. They are allowed though but under the guest's own risk.

Dogs can be accommodated at an extra charge of EUR 50 per pet, per stay. Dogs are allowed upon previous request and only on the following room types: Studio with Balcony, Superior Studio with Balcony, Studio with Terrace, Deluxe One-Bedroom Studio with Terrace and Premium One-Bedroom Studio with Terrace.

Please note that all studios are on the 2nd story of the building and accessible through 4 sets of stairs only.

Yes , we do store luggage free of charge as long as staff is on duty from 09am till 6pm

There is no reception. Guest get self check in instructions and check in at any time after 5pm into the booked Studio apartment. There is no baggage delivery service

Hi, what is the Wi-Fi speed?

We have 3 routers (provider Nós / MEO / Vodafone ) for 7 Studios and a super wifi booster. All are fiberglass connections We are rated with 10.0 for Wifi I think it is 1Gb download and 200MB upload Kind regards, Susanne & Mauro

each Unit has a washing machine To dry clothes there is a facility in each unit ( clothes rack ) or on the terraces ( Studio 5,6, 7/8 and 9 ) In case of rain you can ask the cleaners to dry a machine in our laundry

There is UBER, TAXI, METRO ( from 6:30am onwards ) ..it is just 8.5km away

We will need to checkout very early morning around 3:30am. Is there keyless checkin & checkout? Can a taxi be arranged to take up to airport?

Yes no problem in checking out early. You lock the door of the Studio and lick up the key in a wallsafe. We order a taxi for you with pleasure

yes, the factbof blocking the light is mandatory when renting sn apartment in Portugal ...do not worry please

if we are arriving on Saturday and leaving Sunday is there free street parking ?

Parking on the street is free of charge on weekends. There are very little spaces as most are for residents or cargo only. We suggest parking in underground parking in front of building. Please note we sell just a minimum of 2 nights on weekends.

Is smoking permitted on the outside terrace?

Smoking is allowed on the terraces only. Studio 6, Studio 7/8, Studio 9 and Studio 5 ( available in 2020 ) have terraces

Can you put your luggage in the place while it’s being cleaned? I want to book but the 5 pm check in is really preventing me from doing so.

yes sure, when cleaning staff is on duty we can get luggage from 11:00 onwards And if we have no guests on the night before you are welcome to check in earlier Or if you need to come very early we recommend to book the night before

As published linen and towels included. We even provide towels for the beach if requested. So relax please ! All included, just being your own clothes to wear 😀

What is the parking situation?

Hi, is there a lift?

No lift. The building is more than 200 years old. We have a nice stairway which leads up to the second floor where all our 7 Studios are located.

Guest may check out till 11:00.Due Covid19 pandemic situation we need 4-6 hours for cleaning, sanitizing and preparation after a guest checks out. We comply with " Safe&Clean " recommendations from Portuguese Health and Tourism Authorities.

no, all our studios have access through a big stairway up to thais 2nd floor of our building

All our 7 Studios are open spaces or have 1 bedroom. There is 1 bathroom per Studio.

A comfortable and convenient accommodation.
Great location and walking distance to many good restaurants and bars. Metro is close by. The property is very clean. The washing machine and outdoor clothes line was a big plus for us.

Conveniently Located
The room was neat and tidy and the bed was comfortable. The kitchen had everything required to cook and the bathroom was clean and functional. Overall the room was extremely quiet and private.
The room is not suitable for large or tall people, or people with any sort of mobility issues. The staircase to the mezzanine is very narrow and steep and in the kitchen there is a large overhead beam that is a hazard. Also be prepared to walk up several flights of stairs to reach the room as there is no elevator.
